Why Rock Solid Lifeguard Certification?
The Rock Solid Lifeguard Certification is a less expensive than the Red Cross and a little more flexible for students who have either not been able to register for a class through the Red Cross or need flexible classes due to work, athletic or family commitments.

Will I receive the same certification that the Red Cross provides?
Yes, you will be trained in line with the Red Cross curriculum and you will receive your 2-year certification card from the Red Cross.

If I get Red Cross lifeguard certified through rock solid, do I have to work at a Rock Solid pool?
Absolutely not! Your certification will be good for any pool that hires certified lifeguards and you will still receive the additional rock solid training along with your certification.

If I have been a lifeguard in the past can I just get recertified?
Rock Solid also has the capability to re-certify you in both lifeguarding, CPR, first aid, AED and water safety instructor.

What if I cannot make it to every certification class scheduled by rock solid?
Rock Solid will offer makeup days for both the classroom and the water portion of the class/certification training.

What forms of payment does rock solid take for certification classes?
Rock Solid takes checks, cash, or credit cards and if you are a Rock Solid staff member, we will allow you to pay the first half of your certification fee at the time of registration and the other half of your registration fee through your first paycheck or prior to receiving your certification card.

What is the cost to be Red Cross certified through rock solid?
The cost for a first time certification is $350.00 and the cost for a re-certification is $200. These fees include all materials.

What is the minimum age to get lifeguard certified?
At the start of lifeguarding certification, a participant must be 15 years old.

Where is the Rock Solid office located? Our new office is located at 718 Professional Drive North (next door to American School of Business—the old Acrosports building)
